Do I need to be a member of a club?

It is not necessary to have membership to take part. If you have entered some events and wish to continue the sport, you should join your local club.

Contact the Membership Secretary and you will be sent a membership form to fill in and details about how much it will cost.

You can choose to be a Local member or a National member, both inclusive of affiliation to British Orienteering.

Local membership (often free for the first membership period) entitles you to a 2 discount at events, where advertised, within the North East (organised by CLOK, NN, NATO, NSOA, UDOC or UNOC)
National membership entitles you to this discount throughout the U.K.

Being a member of this club means you will be sent your own copy of the club magazine 'Write Track'.
